Electrical hazard boots are commonly known as EH Boots or EH-rated boots in industries or powerplants. Electrical hazard boots are provided protections from electric shock or electrocution because the entire surface of the boot is made from non-conductive materials and these material does not allow the electric current to pass through the body or stop electric current from being grounded.

It is also known as insulating boots or Dielectric boots. Electrical hazard boots are used by a lineman or electrical workers to prevent electrical shock while LV, MV, HIV, or high voltage maintenance or repair works.

In simplest form electrical hazard boots or EH boots are used for working on live electrical power systems because these boots are insulated.

Electrical hazard boots are made up of leather, breathable liner, anti-perforation textile sole, ventilated 3D mesh neighborhoods, and waterproof leathers. These boots are provided protection of up to 18000volts.

Electrical hazard boots are only suitable in summer and winter conditions and these are not designed to wear in wet conditions.

Electrical hazard boots are only suitable in summer and winter conditions and these are not designed to wear in wet conditions.

The EH boots are built with nail-free construction so that these boots help to slow down electrical conduction for any incidental contacts.

The Electrical hazard boots or EH boots are tested by the American society for testing and materials(ASTM).

What is the difference between ESD footwear and Electrical hazard boots?

ESD footwear means electro-static Discharge footwear. ESD footwear designed for electrostatic discharge. So, it means that it discharges any static build upon the person immediately. It discharges it to earth. ESD footwear is only used when you are working with electrical sensitive components, such as microchips, electronics devices such as mobile phones, etc. Also, ESD footwear is used in high explosive atmospheres.

In the other hand, electrical hazard boots are designed to insulate the wearer from any electrical charges that the body may come into contact. Actually, when you are working on electrical equipment use insulated or non-conductive footwear i.e., Electrical hazard boots.
